What’s good, y’all?!
We hit 100 subscribers! We gotta get a bigger Intergalactic Icons rocketship!
I’m planning something special to celebrate 100 subscribers, but it may take some time. Just know that I appreciate y’all, and I’m constantly in the lab. The funny thing is, I always told myself that if I can get 100 people to go out of their way to support me, I can do anything. I believed I could do it, but I didn’t see it. I thought this would flop, and it’s not. So, thank y’all for everything. Support is invaluable to me.🤍
If you haven’t joined the chat yet, do so. I know how to work it now, and I don’t bug y’all with too many notifications. It’s cool ‘cause we can have conversations, and ya’ll can get updates in real-time. It’s like a text message thread.
But enough of the sappiness, let’s get into it.
If I could guess my reader breakdown, it would be:
80% Lesbian fiction readers
10% FTM/Transmasc fiction readers
10% Readers of all content
As a transmasc guy, there’s little content out there for us, especially with Black representation. So, from now on, I will try to make at least two versions of all my short stories. Though the short stories will tell the same story, they may be slightly altered with additional scenes to fit the narrative. If you’re a reader of all content, you’ll get double content! If you’re not a reader of all content, you can always change the pronouns and identities in your head (That’s what I do when I read most books😭).
With that said, I re-edited Faith and Fortune and created a transmasc version. It’s even better than the first version, in my opinion, because I got a little personal once again. Here are the changes you can expect in Faith and Fortune (Transmasc Version):
Zariana is now Zarien.
Some names and phrases were changed to spice things up, so you’re not reading the exact same thing.
Extended party scene (discussion of gender and sexuality labels, specifically regarding trans-masculine and transmen-identifying lesbians)
Extended sex scene
More character depth for Zarien
From 5,898 words to 7,373 words
If you haven’t read the lesbian version yet, you can read it here.
Remember, I will write anything queer-related in any genre. My only requirement is that there is at least one Black main character. Learn how to send a request here.
Jozzi, a struggling writer recently laid off from her “real” job, needs a win. She just might find one at a Juneteeth Pride party. Meanwhile, battling with their identity, Zari, a transmasculine person, finds validation in a destined encounter.
Vibe: Humorous, cozy, uplifting, flirty, informative, conversational
Content Warnings: Explicit language, depictions of sex, brief mentions of depression
Word Count: 7,373
